'Heartlands' is a semi-autobiographical song, based on Ian's roots in the Black Country area of the English Midlands and written when events among family & friends led him to look back and reflect.

The song has recently picked up airplay and acclaim on radio (WCRfm) in the Black Country, and the launch of the album has been great.

Tinseltown

Written in the mid-90s, and featuring both on Ian's 2006 solo album 'Communication Overdue' and the original Evangeline release in the '90s, 'Tinseltown' has always been a popular song in Ian's set. In 2007 it won the listener's poll ('Top of the Bats') on the Monochrome Museum internet radio show, as well as scoring 5/5 stars on Alaskan based Wholewheat Radio, and getting airplay on the Acoustic Stage and Radio Britfolk.
